Why You Should Have Daytime Music at Your Wedding

Written by The Function Hub

It’s Live!

At the time that we’re writing this, the entire country has just come out of an extended period where we had no live music at all. Now that live music is allowed once more, having daytime music at your wedding is a perfect opportunity to include as much live music as possible to your wedding day. Even if you’re not that big a fan of live music (If there is such a thing..!), your guests will surely enjoy relaxing to some beautiful songs sung live, having missed out on it for so long.

It’s Different!

If you’re not having a band in the evening, then having a musician (or musicians!) perform at the ceremony or reception is a great way to incorporate live music into your wedding.

If you are having a band in the evening, then an acoustic act is a great way to include some music that’s a little bit different to what your guests will hear at the party. The possibilities are endless with daytime music!

It’s Personal!

Daytime musicians arecapable of playing some of your favourite and most cherished songs for the most important part of your wedding day - the ceremony.

Walk down the aisle to your favourite song, and leave the room as a married couple for the first time to a song that reflects both of your personalities. Having these songs performed live by a musician is the perfect way to make your ceremony even more special.

It’s Helpful!

Music can help you tell the story of your wedding. Start the day with slow acoustic music and transition to some more upbeat songs for the drinks reception. This will help you build up the excitement towards the performance of your live band or DJ in the evening. If your guests have been listening to some amazing music throughout the day, we guarantee that they’ll be excited to dance and sing along to whatever entertainment you have for the evening.

It’s Surprising!

There are many ways to surprise your guests, bride or groom with music. Talented friends and family can prepare a song to sing for the newlywed couple after the ceremony, or brides and grooms can ask the musicians (in advance) to play a certain song for their bridesmaids/groomsmen. If you, as a bride or groom, are feeling incredibly adventurous then why not prepare a song of your own to sing in the evening? Just make sure you let the band know of your intentions before the day!
